Do runners run their run
So here I’m gonna try
To list them just for fun

So let us start with Skye
He runs because it’s fun
He feels the buzz of runners high
Whenever he is done.

But not so with Yvonne the great
As big and heavy as a crate
She runs to shake a bit of weight
And gets there even if she’s late.

And then there’s poor old Bart
Who runs for health and heart
The doctor told him: “start,
Or soon you will depart.”

Dory runs for glory
And Sunny runs for money
Pete runs so that he can eat
His daily bread with honey.

Gia runs for energy
And Brian for his brain
Deepak so that he can sleep
And Patty to stay sane.

And so runs May to get away
From all that press on her
Ajay against the creeping grey
The fear the years do stir.

And to be honest most of these
Is why I love to run
But more so doing all things for
An Audience of One
