My Friend

I am never alone. There is One that is always there. I do not run alone, I draw from His strength. His name is Jesus. This is the most powerful and most loving Name in the universe.

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
John 15:15 (from The Holy Bible)

He actually gave His life for me and for everyone who would believe in Him.

“ The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them.”
John 15:13

He did this by dying innocently on a cross. He took our guilt upon himself. My friend took my guilt (and yours if you will trust Him) on himself and so took the punishment for it.

You may say: “But I am not guilty. I am innocent.” But I urge you to think again about that statement. Have you not lied? Have you not lost your temper? Have you not hurt someone (even unintentionally)? Even our thoughts of lust or jealousy or selfishness are open before God and everyone is guilty. Everyone will also be punished with eternal death – removed from the presence of God unless there is a mediator. And that Mediator is Jesus, God’s Son, my Friend.

My prayer is that you will also experience the freedom and peace of having a relationship with Him. Let Him become your Friend as well.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.”
John 3:16

Physically we may die. Everyone dies. But spiritually we will never again be separated from God if we hold on to this Friend.
