There are so many things going on that I do not know where to start. That is also why I have not written for a while. I am so excited about everything that is happening! And it is mostly running and more running.

Let’s go chronologically.

We have started a concept of Time Trials that will be less formal and more affordable races. We are preparing the software and should have a Beta 5k run on Wednesday 31 October at Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh. (Let me know in the comments if you are interested to join). This means that I can spend some of my work-time on this passion for running.

From 23 to 25 November I will do the Great run of Punjab which is a 3-day 200k stage race. This will be my first stage race and I am preparing for it. This includes long runs every weekend. Last week was 42 and then 21. This week it is 50 and 20. Next week I am planning 70 and 20. And so it goes.

On 1 December we are again doing the Freedom Ultra Run and Cycle. This year it is switched back to be from Chandigarh to Patiala; around 74k. We are supporting an organization called End Incest who are working to make people aware of this evil and take action against it. The run (not race mind you) has been so fantastic in the past that all who did it wants to do it again so if you have not done it you should hurry and get your registration here

Then, finally, I have been asked by Purnata to run the Tata Mumbai marathon as a fundraiser for them. I will do that gladly and have made by Rs. 10000 contribution for it. Please match that or give any smaller amount here. They have a really insightful and effective approach to combat human slavery by going to the source to help prevent it besides the rescuing work that they are doing.

My daughter asked me today why I do it. Why indeed? It is hard work. I do not get much out of it personally. I believe that we are God’s ambassadors here on earth. We have to be busy with the things that He wants done. Jesus gave us the example of a selfless life. We are but poor imitations of His love and mercy. Yet, it is His love in me that motivates me.
