Dark: One of the few words that Ivan can say.

Irene’s parents are visiting and they brought a lot of presents. I got (among other things) a little South African flag with flickering blue and red lights that you can pin to your clothes to make you visible to traffic in the dark. It was dark. I pinned it to the back of my shoe.

I started in the dark at 5:30 and ended in the dark. Not too cold, but dark. It is true that the darker it is the more difference a little light makes. I could only imagine how bright my little light must have sparkled and how funny it must have looked to others.

It made we wonder if the light that Jesus said I am, is shining as it should and giving glory to my Father as it should…

Matt. 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
