A delightful trail

I just wanted to share some images of my run this morning. I cycled the 12k to Daddu Majra Colony which is to the west of Chandigarh. Then I ran 21k in the forest surrounding the river.

Before sunrise, I saw 5 big sambar deer swiftly and effortlessly making their way to the water. It was too dark to take a photo. There were many peacocks.

Runners may find some of these trails inviting, even enchanting.

Of course, there was the river. At this stage of the year, just a small stream.

And the farmlands.

I have to at least give you one haiku:

The still, sweet morning

Just the trail and a runner

and the quiet stream.
