When I wrote exams in school and during university, there was one verse that always encouraged me. Isaiah 41:10 says the following:

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The knowledge of God’s presence is enough to calm me down. But he is not only present; he strengthens, helps, and upholds me. My newest song uses these very words. Sing along so that you can memorize them.

On the running front, it is currently tricky. Two weeks ago I fell on the motorbike and broke a rib. I have to prepare to go to Boston, but cannot currently do anything too strenuous. So I am patient, use the time to make music, and trust that God knows best. By the way, search on my site for rib, and you may find some other interesting (?) posts.

Three weeks ago, I ran the Chennai marathon in 3:25:49 and earned 2nd place in the masters category and even got a cash prize! I also happened to be 12th overall. Since I am planning to be in South Africa in June, I also signed up for my third Comrades.

Keep running
